Nong Cavender, APC

Nong is an Associate Professional Counselor (APC) who creates a compassionate, safe, and non-judgmental environment where she empowers individuals to develop a stronger sense of self while navigating major life transitions and relationship issues. She also works with couples experiencing attachment, communication, or intimacy issues. She sees adult individuals and couples in the Roswell office and via telehealth where she helps them cope with a variety of issues including ADHD, OCD, depression, anxiety, relationship or childhood-based trauma, grief and loss, career issues, cultural issues, and more.

Nong utilizes a person-centered, collaborative, and strength-based approach consisting of Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing techniques.

Nong received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida State University and earned a Master of Arts degree in Counseling, Psychology, and Counselor Education from the University of Colorado at Denver. She is supervised by Celia Webb, LPC, CPCS.

In her leisure time, Nong enjoys photography, running, playing tennis, reading, traveling, and soaking up quality time with her family.
