Lorraine Bittle, APC

Lorraine is an Associate Professional Counselor known for creating a comfortable, accepting, and non-judgmental environment for her clients. She specializes in working with individuals 18 and older who want to transform their lives but struggle with anxiety, OCD, the effects of trauma, depression, life transition issues, or religious disillusionment.

Lorraine partners with her clients to help increase their self-awareness, resiliency, and self-compassion. Additionally, Lorraine assists clients on their journey to realizing their needs, values, and goals.

Lorraine leverages processes from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as elements from Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). She engages clients with authenticity and empathy and customizes every counseling session to meet each client’s specific needs.

Lorraine became a counselor after a long career implementing software applications at Atlanta-based corporations, getting married, and starting a family. Her personal and professional experiences allow her to easily relate to individuals with multiple roles and responsibilities in various seasons of life. Working as a counselor has also allowed Lorraine to fulfill a passion for helping people realize their self-worth and thrive in the spaces that are most important to them.

Lorraine received her bachelor’s degree in mass communication from Mansfield University and earned her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Richmont University.

When she’s not working, Lorraine can be found spending quality time with family and friends, engaging with her community, practicing yoga, exercising, hiking, biking, paddle boarding, appreciating nature, playing an instrument, reading, or writing. She sees clients in the Buckhead office and via telehealth. Lorraine is supervised by Celia Webb, LPC, CPCS.
